- Carl Alan Awards
- The IDTA President's Dinner Dance and Carl Alan Awards Ceremony were held on 1st February and Warren and Jane were were in attendance as they had been nominated for the Ballroom and Latin Professional Teacher's Award. They were absolutely delighted to be announced as the winners as the Carl Alan Awards are considered to be 'The Oscars of the World of Dance' - to be nominated in the first place is an achievement in itself, but to actually win is a great honour as it shows that all the dance associations/societies recognise their considerable contribution to the world of dance. It was a very grand affair held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in Hyde Park, London with Lionel Blair, legend of stage, screen and TV, compering the ceremony. Warren and Jane were presented with their Award by non other than Karen Hardy from Strictly Come Dancing. They thoroughly enjoyed the evening and now Jane has yet another trophy to polish!! This is the second time they have received this award, the first time for being the years most outstanding amateur competitors which was presented by Angela Rippon and Lional Blair.
- Top Teacher Award
- For the 8th consecutive year, Warren and Jane received the Top Teacher Award at the Stars of the Future event held at Brentwood on 6th June. Congratulations to Warren and Jane for what can only be described as an outstanding achievement and to all of the Zig Zag pupils and teachers who have all worked so hard, without whom this success would not have been possible.
